Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. Nicole Ari Parker is an American stage and film actress. Contractor was born in Mumbai and resided in Nigeria for seven years had a wide range of trips and experiences in the world of culture at an early age. After attending boarding school during seven years of London the family moved to Toronto Canada where she lived for the majority of her childhood and early adulthood. Contractor was an outstanding student in Toronto and educated to become an expert ballet dancer. She was a student at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, a high school for the arts that was specifically designed to be a school that taught not just dance but also theatre. Contractor, who had been dancing for more than 10 years when she started when she decided to concentrate on acting. When she graduated from high school, Contractor was awarded a scholarship by the University of Toronto to pursue a dual major in psychology and sociology. She also earned a Master's degree in Theatre. Contractor auditioned at the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After one full year of auditions, she was offered the leading role. After the show ran for 92 times, she was rewarded with positive reviews. This play was named the best production by Canadian the critics. She was invited to join Stratford's conservatory. It is a place where only four men and eight females can attend a 20 weeks crash course of classical theater. Contractor's place in the following production was secured, and she was chosen as Hermia.
